Getting started with Ava
What do I need to use Ava?
To use Unit4 Advanced Virtual Agent (Ava) and get help with your tasks:
- You must be a Unit4 user.
- Your organisation must set up Ava to work with Unit4 products.
- You must add Ava on Microsoft Teams.

How do I install Ava on Microsoft Teams?
If your administrator already installed Ava in Microsoft Teams:
- In Microsoft Teams, click on the Apps section.
- Locate the Unit4 Ava app.
- Click the Add button. The app dialog opens.
- Click the Add button in the app dialog.
- Click the Open button in the app dialog to open Ava.
- Ava will guide you through the setup process.
If your administrator has not installed Ava in Microsoft Teams:
- Follow this link to Ava in the Microsoft Teams Store.
- Click the Add button in the app dialog.
- Click the Open button in the app dialog to open Ava.
- Ava will guide you through the setup process.
Note: Ava will ask you to sign in with your Unit4 account because it needs that access to help you.
Available functionalities and products
Ava's available functionalities depend on:
- Your organisation's setup.
- The Unit4 products you are using.
